BBC Radio Manchester interviews the Founder of FirstFound, one of the UK’s leading Search Engine Optimiastion (SEO) Companies based on Oxford Road in Manchester. In the last two years alone, FirstFound has doubled it’s turnover to almost £4 million, and is continuing to expand steadily.
FirstFound specialise in helping businesses make the most of the Internet, Chris Bellamy explains:
If you are on the first page of Google or any of the other major search engines, that’s where you going to get your traffic…the key is understanding what search engines do, and it’s not terribly difficult because what they’re trying to do is provide good results. It’s about how they look at a page and decide what it’s about. There are lots of myths out there about how search engines really do it … it’s understanding what they do and reacting to changes.
He goes on to explain that FirstFound deal with every type of business, from one man bands to global multinationals. FirstFound started out with a business model 10 years ago and now focus on bringing the right kind of traffic to clients:
…What we are trying to do is not just a vanity job for the client, but deliver traffic that’s going to turn into business…
With a lot of gloomy financial news in the media, FirstFound have actually experienced a period of continual growth that shows no signs of slowing:
There is a lot of business because the traffic has grown exponentially, so there’s more business to chase. There’s more people using the Internet, and a huge amount of traffic to get.
Let’s hope for more success stories like this one.
